3: ISO/Gain

ISO/Gain is the light sensitivity of the sensor/film. A low ISO/Gain = less sensitive = darker image/video.

A high ISO/Gain = more sensitive = lighter image/video.

2: Shutter speed

The shutter speed is what controls how long that hole I mentioned before stays open. Slow shutter speed = hole open longer = more light.

High shutter speed = hole open not as long = less light.

1: Aperture/Iris/F-stop

Every camera/video camera has a hole for light to come in and hit the light sensitive sensor/film etc. Aperture/Iris/F-stop is the setting that controls how big that hole will be. Big hole = more light. Small hole = less light.
