@gusanomarielito I have read books about history's greatest villains, and I have to say that Herod was one of the worsts. He is (in my opinion) one of the few characters in history that you can describe as heartless because he killed those closest to him. In fact, I would almost rather have Hitler as a father than him.

@beswick1111 The Herodians were not kings. They were Exarchs of the Hellenistic empires of Seleucus who's capital was at Antioch. Calling them kings is an example of Zionist or Judeo-Christian exxaggerations trying to make a great nation where none existed. After the fall of the Seleucids and Ptolemaic dynasties of Syria and Egypt the region came under Roman domination.

He tried to have the first born sons of all of the noble families in Judea killed when he died, so that the people would have something to be sad about.
