Gavin Bryars / Cd:Jesus' blood never failed me yet / track 4: Tramp with Orchestra IV (full strings) Original version 1971 (Lp) / Current version 1993 (Cd), Mnemonic (with Tom Waits) Composed video / Composición de vídeo: PrefieroELNaranja, 21-09-2010
It's kind of strange that pagans are so drawn to christian art and music. Is it because they have no inspiration outside of it?? All they can do is reinvent the message to suit themselves and their own views as Gavin Bryers does-sad. The words 'Jesus blood never failed me yet' will come back to you on the day of judgement.
i was in a record store this past weekend in Dallas...they had this playing overhead on the speakers...i thought the CD was scratched and kept repeating the same patch over and over...it was hypnotizing and lulling...i ended up buying it
AT LAST I find the version WITHOUT Tom Waits!!! This version is so simple and peaceful, much more touching than the bombastic version with bawling Tom Waits...
I love Tom Waits. I prefer this version without Tom. Would I have added my vocal if asked, like Tom? Hell, yes. Jesus' blood never failed me yet.

Leaving yet another stupid YouTube argument aside, this is both beautiful and rigorous, and the orchestration is wonderful.

Es la grandeza de la miseria, el canto chacra a la esperanza irredenta de los eternos perdedores, el comunismo del alma.
