This cool YJ equipped with a 4 cyl engine and a home brewed turbo have some fun on a small hill climb. See more images of this jeep at http://www.jeepfan.com/offroad/ok-reopening-rc3.php

  • Rausch Creek baby!

  • do you have a build thread or anything for the turbo?

  • sounds pretty sick, screw those a/t's

  • @homerunhita12 Most people who say what he said say it because when they think "turbo" they think "turbo-lag" which is "not good for low end torque." These people also, usually, fail to understand that not all turbos are the larger variety found in "tuner cars" to make high rpm HP, and that a smaller turbo will spool up much faster and can produce very good low end torque.

  • @iceefreet Yeah I agree. I'd get a diesel if they released them here haha.

  • @homerunhita12 well u see thats the thing even if you gear it right the SCing it will still be better. i for one am a turbo guy, i would turbo a bicycle if i could but on a jeep i have to go SC unless is a diesel turbo like the ones in Europe. damn Americans an their stupid regulations. lol

  • @iceefreet Definitely sick. I feel like if you geared everything low enough a turbo would be a great alternative when crawling tho, as long as you're making boost

  • @homerunhita12 i know that but in a jeep u want to gain low end torque. if i was racing that jeep i would go turbo but i am not. but like i wrote it still sick.

  • @iceefreet superchargers take power to make power. turbos run off the exhaust, which otherwise would be a huge loss of potential energy

  • thats RC right?
