The Global Experience e. V.

The Global Experience is a worldwide online NGO community dedicated to promoting intercultural understanding. The network gives young people a platform for intercultural exchange and for local initiatives. It also supports various educational, environmental and developmental projects in partner countries.

Starting with a group of five students in Germany in 2005, The Global Experience works today with an international staff of 44 young volunteers in 17 nations. Local student groups in Colombia, Poland, Vietnam, Namibia, Belgium and Zimbabwe are working in schools to promote intercultural learning using new media. Making new friends and working on common projects is the specific appeal of the network. It also acts against traditional media stereotypes of other cultures.
