My favorite version of this song, the one that appeared in Europa Universlis II.

For me the speed is just right, other "classical" versions are somewhat too fast.

@sesshyssoulmate Wow. You actually blocked me from commenting on your choir's songs for saying that the tempo on your rendition of this is "too fast"? Sad. I just wandered over to listen to some more of your videos this evening, and found the Sanctus and Cantate particularly good. I truly think "too fast" is fairly mild criticism,but so be it. :-] Fine choir nonetheless. Cheers. hmmm... great individual performances, but the lead female voice is far too loud in the chorus each time, overwhelming the lower register voices and making it sound very thin overall. Say what you like about the Steeleye Span version, but the depth of sound in the chorus is much better.
