  • Unfortunately, the battle scene is of the Romans fighting the Germans; not the Dacians. It's from the beginning of Gladiator. And yes, I am very proud to be Romanian as well. I agree with you 65089988.

  • Traiasca Dacia Mare!

  • I do reply to you even if I know you are a pathetic Hungarian troll and my dog knows more history than you.The Vlachs are the Latin population of EastEurope. The Slovenians called them Lahins, then the word changed to Olahs,Vlahs,Wollocs,Iflak. It's an alternative word for ROMANIAN,the same way Latin andRoman were two words for people speaking Latin/Romance language.

The Gypsies, also called Tsigans, prefer to use now the word Rroma, from an Indian word Rom.dom, meaning MAN.,Gypsies originate in India

  • @MrCraiessou - What do you think ? BBC lies about the origin of Vlachs ? Who were the Vlachs ?

Why are the Roma people call themselfs Roma and not Gipsy ???

  • @MrCraiessou - When have you visited your doctor last time ? What kind of pills do you take ? Inveting such nice stories all we need the same like you ! :)

  • @DavidItzak

right.. it must have been their ghosts that revolted so many times and staged so many attacks from outside the occupied area until the roman retreat... another wiki-historian...

  • Herodot says that the Dacians or Getaes were 'the most brave and just people" of all Thracians. The Latin poet Ovidiu composed poems in Getic Dacian language, a language that was closed to the Latin language, the same way Romanian is now to Italian. The Romans conquered the Gold mines zone of Dacia(Romania)and mixed with West Dacians who became loyal to Rome.Three major Roman emperors were Dacians.Recieving Rome citizenship they start to call themselves DacoRomanians and Romanians.

  • Dachians were a branch of Schytians with a language very close to Schytians, Turks and Huns. Unfortunatly the Romans after the conquest of Dachia wiped them all out. A Brave ancient tribe without any descendants.
