yea i have a hard time believing that the evo has close to 500hp when it hasn't been dyno tuned. im sure that its up there but 500hp would pull a hell of a lot harder on a car with half the horse power. obviously there is a weight difference but when it comes 500hp vs 250... a couple hundred lbs. doesn't make that much of a difference.

I know the evo is not 500hp i was trying to start an argument but jonny's car only weighs 1960lb with a half tank of gas so there is alot more than a few hundred pound differents.

The civic is about 230 to 250 whp and the evo is close to 500awhp. So both car have alot more they can do to gain alot more horsepower. So these car are in the beginning stages.

All I can compare with is he has smaller wheels, smaller body, dont know the weight difference cuz I dont know how much Matts weighs, Just the way it looks, Matts and Johnnys civic are doing exactly what they should be doing performance wise.. Ive been there every weekend to see it all happen.. makes perfect sense to me

Has 2 B something, I researched a lot 2 make sure I wasnt wrong, a stock Evo after adding cams, dyno's 462.5 average crank hp.. exhaust/intake add should be barely faster than a GT500.. White Evo pulls GT500 1 car, GT500 lost 2 cars to S/C Vette, Vette pulls 1 car on White Evo, White Evo beat Red Evo 3 cars, Vette pulls Red Evo 4 cars, Vette pulls Civic 3 cars.. Evo pulls Civic 3 cars..  Math plays out right.. so theres just something about the Civic..

ok tony you are my friend and i am not talkin shit about you or neother person that has posted in this discussion but. gt500 3900lbs curb weight, 500hp at the crank, 2008 corvette 3200lbs curb weight, 430 at the crank.

as they sit the corvette has an advantage period. lets put 505hp at the wheels of a corvette that weighs less he should pull more than a car. case&pt corvette w/505 would pull a hell of a lot further than it did against said 250hp civic. ô¿ô

Allow me 2 add.. Matt, your a good friend of mine, I know your Civic is quick as hell, Johnny your a good friend of mine 2, your Civic is also quick as hell.. so im not in the middle.. in defense of the Evo.. The Vette did pull him by only 1 car length.. he also beat a Shelby GT500 1 car length.. and he only beat the Civic by about 3 cuz i was following, look at the video.. Cams bring an Evo to 390, intake/exhaust with tune, easily 460awhp on race gas.. thats where he stands, common knowledge
