@thearbiter221 It was also pretty much the turning point in the Pacific War. Afterwards, Japan was pretty much beating a fighting retreat (if you can call leaving all your troops on the Pacific islands to commit suicide rather than surrender a "retreat") in an attempt to hold off the U.S. forces.
