OC Parks Ranger Academy #1

OC Parks on Dec. 16 graduated the first class from its own Park Ranger Academy. It is the only academy in Southern California designed specifically for Park Rangers.
After two and a half months of skillful training, certification and preparation, 10 Park Rangers graduated at a ceremony at Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center.
The 2010 Ranger Academy will have open recruitments throughout the year with enrollment scheduled to begin in August. With the success of the first year, it is hopeful that the enrollment and graduation statistics will double the second year of the program.
