To help theists and atheists better understand each other. How and why would someone leave moderate religion behind? Here's one person's deconversion story. Listen, and consider telling your story.
What about you? How would you characterize and summarize your journey from religion?
Or maybe you were never in religion?
Or maybe you've found yourself drawn to religion, or you've found equilibrium at a different level of belief?
If you haven't already done so, consider making a video telling us your story. Feel free to post it here as a response. Peace!

@TheGreaterGood80 you are saying that becos yu are Blind that yu can't See the Truth..but, think about this, if you are Blind, can yu see at all?

@madenew000 thanks for proving my point you fool. I doubt it has ever crossed your faith-infected brain that every religion in the world claims to see and understand things that the rest of the world cannot see or understand. You honestly think your Christian religion holds the monopoly on this point of a view? Yours is not "truth", but rather opinion.....no matter how much you wish it to be true.

@TheGreaterGood80 It is obvious you have no clue on what you are saying. Why don't you investigate to find out that maybe the true Born Again Christians have been revealed something from the Holy Spirit that the eyes of the rest of the world simply CANNOT see nor understand? There are no 'safety mech' there, mate. Just the truth! Try it and let us know!

Summarising your video, I AM SURE YOU WERE NEVER BORN-AGAIN (if yu were yu'd still be with Christ!!). Saying sinners' prayer & doing ALL the things yu did 'for God' never makes anyone a Born Again Christian!! A Born Again Christian cares about one thing over everything else: OVERCOMING SIN IN YOUR LIFE! CARRYING YOUR 'CROSS' & FOLLOW CHRIST EVERYDAY!!!!
Your doctrines are wrong!!
Pls do not let your circumstances turn yu away from God. We freely make wrong choices! GOD IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL!

I've noticed that almost every former Christian who becomes atheist or agnostic is immediately met with accusations of false piousness by their fellow Christians. "Oh, you were never a real Christian to begin with". It's a safety mechanism they use to answer any doubt that they themselves might have in their faith. My hat goes off to you! Stay strong!

Stop studying the bible for goodness sake, it will only lead to atheism. Unless of course your childhood indoctrination has produced a very thick bubble around you that stops any independent thought from filtering through.
The church likes them questionless and scared.

Mountain Dew preventing pregnancy?? That's laughable. We all know it's diet Coke that prevents pregnancy. Also Trident (watermelon flavor) will cure Aids according to my pastor.

(continued).. Reasons why some books didnt make it into the Bible:
1.They were not referenced by Jesus. Jesus referenced the entire Jewish canon of Scripture by referring to Abel and Zacharias (Matt. 23:35). He also never quotes directly from any of the apocryphal writings, but makes numerous references to the Old Testament books.
2.They lacked apostolic or prophetic authorship.
4.They contain unbiblical concepts or the condoning of magic
5.They have serious historical inaccuracies
Nashhinton 1 year ago
@Nashhinton Hm. But even contradictory accounts and accounts with historical inaccuracies made it into the current canon, as well as accounts which are claimed to be from certain authors but were probably forged. At the very least, sections of the new testament were inserted by other hands than the original authors, yet those became canonized. It seems apparent to me that there's a lot of room for error in human canonization.
ReligiousFiction 1 year ago
@Nashhinton I used to think that god would influence the canonization, but I don't see evidence for that now.
