Two Phone interviews done the evening of Phil Lynott's death on 1/4/1986. Scott Gorham and Brian Downey both answer some questions about their experiences with Phil. The thing that struck me most is how surprised they were that Phil died...in Downey's case, almost to the point of aloofness. Very sad to listen to.
*The pictures (except for the very last one) were given to me by "lynottfan4". He was fornunate enough to see Lynott when he was in Grand Slam at a small pub and get some pictures, and kind enough to pass them on to me. I thought this video would be a good time to use them.

This is sad...I'll never forget this day. I met Phil and the band at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver. Phil was such a kind guy..alot of heart. We drank some wine and talk about the books he had written. RIP Phil Lynott....
I will never forget when I learned that Phil had died, and it breaks my heart as much today as it did over 20 years ago. I'm still the same kid on the inside as I was back then..... But his music lives on "out in the fields" and everywhere we go!
Remeber the night like it was yesterday. Friday night rock show on bbc radio one had a special night for Phil and I recorded it on tape. Still got it. Whole band were interviewed. My hero. The King died that night. Still Out Here xxxxxxx
