Well, "those damn" might've been overstating it and I expected it'd elicite this sort of reply sooner or later. I'm not a big metalhead or nothin, but I guess I ultimately prefer him with a bit of an edge. But still, I can admire his musical versatility, sure. Anyway, those ballads WERE big hits, so more than a few folks certainly dug'em. And I do love one, .. Wake Me Gently ( from Goes To Hell ), which I dont think was ever a single .

Oh, and I'd certainly take THIS over those damn romantic ballads ( I Never Cry, You and Me, How're You Gon'a See Me Now ) that he was doing in the late 70's !

I really liked the direction Alice took with this one...the whole Flush The Fashion/Special Forces era was his spin on New Wave, which came and went too soon. I really wish he would've gone even farther with it. And there are some great songs on DaDa as well, particularly "Pass The Gun Around".

@befuddledman Pass the Gun Around and Formerly Warmer are two of Alice's best songs no matter what era.
