At Ron Paul Parade (South Florida), Local Media Tries to Supress Free Speech

Public place, free to record. The irony is that it was the media (Univision) that tried to end the free speech of a fellow liberty-lover who was, god-forbid, holding up a Ron Paul sign. Share this vid for liberty....

OK my take. You should have walked past let the sign be seen and got out of the shot. Yes you were disrespectful, they were trying to work. Ron Paul would not support that. However the reporter and cameraman need to learn the laws, while we still have them. They were on a public street.

And that cop was covering his ass. With that many cameras around, a smart cop is very unlikely to intervene in a situation that could paint him in a distasteful light. He was most likely just trying not to stir up another un-needed controversy.

This video is very irritating. The video, and many of the comments in the feed just goes to show that so many people out there completely misinterpret their constitutional freedoms. You don't have the constitutional right to appear in their news broadcast. If you want to campaign for ron paul on tv, buy a few minutes of airtime. It is rude and disrespectful to try and highjack that stations broadcast for your own political agenda.

Also, holding that sign in the background could give some viewers the impression that the station was backing one particular candidate. They were most likely trying to protect the perspective of objectivity. Many local reporters do their best to maintain journalistic integrity. They are not all tools of the mass media.

You don't have the right to videotape private citizens without their consent. That woman has a very good point. It all depends on local and state laws. I would check what your local regulations are, but i'm guessing she knows them better than you.

FINALLY, a real Peace Officer and not just another dumb thug Corporate Constable on Patrol. Great thing about the lamestream letting their Goebbelsesque colors show, is that we SEE and remember their treasonous faces. Goebbels was JUST as culpable in war crimes as Mengele and Hitler himself. So are these bastards. Perhaps one day when and if our "Justice" system is fixed they will be held accountable.
