A realistic response to David Lehre's caffeinated farce. "The MySpace Movie" had some witty parts in it, there is no doubt about it. That opening scene where the kid is taking pictures of himself might be one of the funnier things I've seen in a long time. But let's get real, the movie has an inherent joy and wackiness that a real MySpace experience just doesn't have. I feel like this movie that I filmed more accurately portrays what a typical 2 minutes in the cold and isolated world of MySpace is like.
I'll admit utter disappointment with my inability to capture the "teenage Fall Out Boy fan" demographic with my little film--though I have come to terms with ever being above two and a half stars.
**Mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Ubercool blog, and on the lips of every disappointed YouTube viewer that thought this video was going to be entertaining!**
Nice to see that degree at work.
