"Pound of Flesh" by Michael Peter Bolus and starring Joel Polis and David Mauer, is a fictional account of the detention in a military prison camp of Ezra Pound, the American poet, before his deportation and trial for treason in the US after the Second World War. The film follows the relationship between Pound and his military guard, a young army private from Ohio, while he awaits the deportation proceedings.
Engaging and provocative on many levels, i.e. political, spiritual, literary, this 90 minute production will evoke a whirlwind of contemporary and timeless questions.
