In Homer, Alaska, between late December and April, you can take videos, photos or just observe bald eagles. Jean Keene, known as the Eagle Lady, feed these magnificent birds every morning. Hundreds collect for her handouts. To learn more, visit my travel blog for the Anchorage Daily News at www.adn.com/indietraveler

  • I agree that the Eagle Lady did bait the eagles. She was supported by many professional wildlife photographers paying her big money up to $1,000 a day to easily and effortlessly get a shot from her home. It is now illegal...We in Alaska are lucky to see so many eagles like many others in the Pacific Northwest, but it doesn't mean that just because we see them that they are not endangered.

  • u mother fucker it is a leagle to shoot a eagle

  • They looked like they all stopped for a photo op shot for a second! What an incredible video!

  • how are these endangered..i see them almost every day in eastern WA..

  • Please dont misrpresent what is going on here! this is eagle BAITING; an introduction of a non-natural food

source (and food, ie scrap BOTTOM fish) for monetary gain. NONE of the eagles are being "rehibilitated".

These are wild eagles being lured for photos....Since baiting has been outlawed, the eagles has since dispersed

to their normal pray grounds scattered about the kenai penninsula.

  • How much is it for a permit in Alaska to shoot eagle? I've been taking one or two every now and then when I see some, but should probably start doing it legally haha.

  • This was one of our favorite spots to park our RV when going to Homer from Anchorage. The "Eagle Lady" surely did well by the eagles of Homer in the winter time.

  • Hi..did you know that the Eagle Lady has died, bless her..may she RIP.
