French Pilots Bombed Iran During Iran Iraq war

The West helped Saddam to plan attack on Iran. Provided Saddam with weapons, Missiles and Chemical Weapons. Even when Saddam didn't have enough pilots to attack Iran, the French provided him with their own pilot to attack Iran. One Million people were killed on each side. About half were Iranians. I have known of this video for very long, but every time I see it... It just leaves an incredibly bitter taste in my mouth. The Iran-Iraq war is very personal to me. You see, I was born in a city that was right in the battle-front.

The French are being very apologetic about how Iran was the "black devil" at this time, but supported Saddam in an aggressive war of conquest. A war that entailed extensive use of chemical WMDs.

I spit on this cynical barbarism. Truly, shame on France for this.

Iran part said that had captured prisoner from 19 countries including Sudan, Jordan, Egypt ...many Arab&African countries

Do not forget 290 innocent civilians in Iran airbase plane that shot down bay USA!

It's true that iran received equipments from US which partly were supplied from Israeli warehouses but they sent back the ones that had the Israeli manufacturing mark on them even though they were in real need. iran also were buying USSR equipments from Bulgaria and china not directly from USSR.

My point is that understanding the Iran-Iraq war is not that simple.

Also, while the Iran-Contra affair did indeed involve a small amount of arms, Israel sold way more arms to Iran than that, as you probably know. And while Israel certainly had its own obvious reasons to bomb the Osiraq reactor, is not like the Iranians had reasons to complain about it, did they? :)

@wat0n I know you are not implying that Iran and Israel are secretly friends and have been fooling the world with their politics for years. May be to get a good laugh. Israel bombed Iraq nuclear plants for its own political purpose. The amount of arms from US contra-affairs and Israeli's merchants of war where negligible as you know yourself.

Israel sold arms to Iran and also bombed the Osiraq nuclear reactor in 1981, some months after the Iranians tried to bomb it without success. Of course the Iranians won't admit this help from Israel as it would undermine their anti-Israeli stand. They didnt admit it back then either.

America also sold arms to Iran, ever heard of the Iran-Contra scandal? The broker was... Israel.

The Soviets sold arms to both sides if I'm not mistaken, but I don't know much about this.

@conglomerate8 You are right. Iran did receive military equipment from Israel, even US. You should know that the amount were not significant. If you have spoken to any of Iranian Vets you would know how much they were lacking in equipment. If they had a way to get tank why would they send the kids in front of the tanks to clear the mines. Soviets probably helped Iran more than others but again their help was minor. Some of the soldiers didn't even have the right boot
