The people are the original singers the traditional music from rural areas around Debre Markos.They produce song in Gojjam and sell or send it to Addis.

One day, I'm going to open a club in Addis. City folks will be in for a big surprise, since only traditional music will be allowed. And they will not be allowed to leave until they are drenched in sweat from exhilarating dance. lol

Thanks for posting this video. This guy has a very beautiful voice. hope this video will open a way for him to earn a decent living. Looking at this and other clips that Manaye has been involved in, it appears he is not paid commensurate to his service. How I wish we are able to sponser him to come here where we do not have any traditional singer.
