The Leyland Lynx entered production in 1986, 25 years ago. With the type rapidly disappearing from front line service, here's a look back at some of the many different colours and locations they could - and can - be seen in. Music is the Lighthouse Family's Lost in Space. Note that about half of the pictures aren't mine, being taken from friends/relatives or (in some cases) the internet. Enjoy!

j268 udw i wonder where all the ex cardiff lynxs are i would just like one long ride on one day.

  • @raylyd It went to Nu-Venture in Kent when RML Travel closed. There's another picture of it at 5:13 in its new colours a few months after it moved. It's still there and being used regularly.

  • last British bus made and the nice sounding bus of all.

  • nice maybe one it will go back as the old orange cardiff bus colour one day i would like to know what it would look like with the new cardiff bus paint job.

  • a great channel you have here with great music to match iv subbed cheers for the uploads

  • Thank you for a fantastic video, the Lynx is my favourite single-decker and if I'm honest, compared to other buses at the time - this was in the shade. But I am now glad this is being appreciated, as you won't find a more mechanically reliable single-decker, which has an average life expectancy of 20 years. I would like to see any modern single-deckers reach that age in a relatively intense working life!
