how big of a gallon would you need for a shark like this ?

@AdaDiazTV I always think it's a good idea to let people do what they want with their animals. I mean hey, even if they're abusing them, we should just let them do what they want. /s

the only time your supposed to cut it open is if they get so big they cant move in the egg shell and he didnt seem quite that big. But he was ready to come out, if you hadnt cut him out he probably wouldve been out in a couple days. there was no harm in cutting him out when you did

@chivaskyogre yes their suppose to hach out there own but in my cause i had to cut him out. before you buy a shark egg you must make sure your tank has been up and running for a least a year before you try to keep a shark because water quality is key to the succes of your shark. also they very delicate when their that small so they can get stressed and get sick or die. as for acually hatching the shark you just want to set it in a place in your tank were its not getting blasted by a power head.

@chivaskyogre it should take about 14 or 15 weeks to hatch. they usally tell you when you buy it when it was laid. once its hatched it will be a few days but it can take up to two weeks before it eats because there still absorbing the yolk from the egg. id say wait a few days and then start to offer it food like the frozen shark cubes they have avalible. id also advise to stay away from feeding them goldfish because their not heatly at all really and just give him a variety of diffrent frozen.

@chivaskyogre foods like mussels, raw shrimp, silver sides, ghost shrimp, and a few other but cant think of them right now. your also going to want to put vitamins on the food before you feed him to keep him fat and heathly. the minimum tank size is a 180 gallon tank but really i say at least a 200 gallon tank because the sharks going to grow fast and they grow to be 4ft long. if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
