  • aughhhh please tell me youre not STILL using xp?

  • @0987zxcv0987 nope i have a mac now

  • I have a question. Say if you wanted to outline a picture you took yourself. Are you able to do that so you can end up illustrating what you actually photographed?

    Thanks!

  • @andrewheartsu yes you can do that.

  • does wacoms come with an special program for all the drawing stuff or you can use any ( like photoshop)???

  • @wxxluisxxw it comes with corel 4 and a water down version of photoshop.

  • I just got my cintiq yesterday. Im so excited

  • Cintiq 12WX has no lag, and is very VERY sensitive for movement, any "lag" or oddities you see like that are due to camera recording, and the fact that they are angled so the pen goes to the glass top - and then there is a "gap" between drawing = this is only seen from angles normally while taking videos of work, in reality with it on your lap/in front of you, it's just like real paper/canvas, save a few minor things like texture.

    D:

Oh god... go back to xp

    lol

  • what program do you use for drawing on your cintiq?

  • @crzykd1305 that should be able to run like anything fine lol hm well my points have been said. good luck

  • @0987zxcv0987 8GB DDR2 an intel Core 2 duo E2500 @ 3Ghz, 48 hour prime stable. GTX 260 factory overclocked with 10GB reserved virtual memory. There is no real reason for it to happen the way I see it. Regardless I'll be building a new system soon, I'm aiming for 4Ghz or more (5Ghz stable on air cooling has been known to happen) i7 - 2600K, 8GB+ DDR3 RAM and my current graphics card with a BFG 9600 OCX reserved for physX optimization.

The problem probably isn't natural. but its still a pain.

  • @crzykd1305 hm in all my time using 7 (basically since the release) i have never had a single problem like that. could be due to lack of ram or processor power? im using a gaming laptop and have sufficient power for photoshop, 3dsmax, practically any game and so have never had memory usage problems. hell ive never seen that on any computer ive used. and ive never thought of aero as a program then as much of a visual effect, but yes it is convenient. i guess to each his own, but i love w7

  • @0987zxcv0987 well I use windows 7 and I've grown very attached to using Aero, it is more than helpful to be able to see whats in one program from the start bar.

But when I have too much memory is in use, I get no warning or prompt, but win 7 turns aero off. This is a huge inconvenience when the memory reallocation freezes my computer for 10 or so minutes (literal). and then it does it again turning aero back on when there is enough memory again.

I will continue using win 7 regardless :/

  • @crzykd1305 macs are just.... sad. really. and xp? .... i use xp at school at friends houses etc., and its just not as good. some people wont accept it, but 7 is just far far superior. everything is easier, simpler, more user oriented, and from every computer ive used (which is also partially hardware), windows 7 has always been faster. xp really has no advantages, people just say it is more "stable" and shit because somehow they cant control their own computer. i havent had a single 7 problem.

  • @0987zxcv0987 vid was in 2008, but regardless of that XP is still a prime choice of operating system, its easy to get hold of, its more resource efficient than vista or windows 7, only real problem is no DX10 support (bad for me as I'm a PC gamer and developer)

Truth be told I've considered reverting to xp a few times, but its just not an option. windows 7 has a nasty habit of resetting my graphics card when it changes from aero. Mac is too expensive and I can't build my own like I'd want to.

  • @movinon20 not much of an upgrade, but cool lol
