@Damienf77 I had a similar experience with my mother. Though what you're describing has more to do with the fact that your mother is Sensing in the Myers-Briggs personality system, while you are iNtuitive. This produces the distinction between her desire to consider and discuss everyday, mundane things and your desire to consider and discuss concepts and ideas. It is likely that your difference in instinctual variants magified this difference in processing of the world. Thanks for watching. :)

My mother was dominant self preservation for sure and I'm completely the opposite. We were conflicting in nearly every interaction we had. She was (seemingly) most at ease talking about everyday things which made me very uneasy. And I always wanted to talk with her about concepts and ideas at length which she always tried to avoid when I'd bring them up. I've watched several of your vids now and they're very insightful and interesting. Thanks for sharing. -D-
