@EmilyGreene1984 are you demented? Force someone to give birth and have a biological child out there somewhere? That's heartbreaking. You don't care about people at all. What is your value system that people HAVE to live at all costs? Why? There is no reason for it.

The states with the highest infant mortality rates also push for the toughest abortion restrictions. These people are liars. They do not care about lives, they care about the unmitigated gall of a woman (yes just a woman) to have sex and then avert "fate" or "destiny" it's an entirely mythological view that cannot be backed up at all. There is no harm to a child not born. They cannot prove harm. There's no harm when someone is NOT born.

@EmilyGreene1984 Here's another thought. Don't ruin the life of both the mother and child by forcing the birth to happen. Instead of adding more kids to an already overloaded foster/adoption care system by telling other people what to do, why don't you put your money and time where your beliefs are and adopt some of the kids in the system?

@shredofmartyrs That's actually a stereotype. There are women out there who are pro-life and who are athiest or agnostic as well. They feel that killing an unborn baby is a disservice to both women and children and a crime against humanity.

@eirefrance Here's a thought. If a woman who is pregnant as the result of rape, but she doesn't want to keep the baby herself - why not give the baby away? What really is so hard about that action? If she doesn't want to be reminded of the baby's presence, why not allow the baby to be adopted? And as for carrying the baby to term and needing medical help to deal with the whole process, do they not know there are programs out there to help BOTH the woman and the unborn child?

Yeah, some Planned Parenthood employees are probably criminals. I can't think of a better reason to force a rape victim to carry her child to term and raise it as her own without any financial help from the politicians or religious leaders who passed a law forcing her to do just that.
