  • i was at the show, this song was so amazing. first time i head eddies voice live i was speechless.

  • I'm not going to argue that Springsteen didn't come up with some truly great songs.

In fact, ( as you already know ) some of his songs are so good they make your jaw drop

( in particular, everything on Tunnel of Love and Nebraska )

I'm just sayin' that S-K are awesome--and Th Boss didn't do "Light Rail Coyote" or the Holy Trinity of Call the Doctor/Dig Me Out/Hot Rock. I think it would be awesome if Springsteen did a version of One More Hour or Light Rail Coyote. The Boss--respect!!

  • eddie sounds like young bruce springsteen

  • gives me chills every time. edved plus corin = sky-sex babies. for the ear.

  • Pearl Jam AND Sleater-Kinney, now that's just a good day!!!!:-D

  • sleater kinney is a great band.

    chicks rock.

  • I met her once, too--at the Opera House in Toronto just before the show.

She shook my hand. I haven't washed it since.

    ;)

  • Okay. I see what you're saying. For a second, I thought you were trying to say that S/K is on par w/ the Boss and I was like, "What the fuck are you smokin'???" lol. I've ran into Corin Tucker several times when I used to work at a grocery store and she came in alot. Nice lady.. down to earth and has a sense of humor :)

  • Even the best S/K songs can't measure up to some of the worst songs from Springsteen.

  • well...S-K do the best version of "Fortunate Son" ever

but you raise a valid point; Sleater-Kinney were (are) the best rock band to come out of the U.S. in many years, and their own material is good enough to stand up to the best from the Boss, or Pearl Jam, or anybody else. I think their covers are more like homage than re-interpretations...I never cared much for "More Than a Feeling" on their debut EP
