Simchas Torah (meaning "the rejoicing of the Torah") is a celebration marking the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings (read every week, on Saturday) , and the beginning of a new cycle. That's all there is to it.

This is hilarious. Since it's that time of year again it makes it even more appropriate! I remember seeing this on YouTube a while ago and meant to comment, so here's your thumbs up! I heard this song on Steve Post's "The No Show" on Saturday, 11/1/08. Hilarious! We haven't had a good Jewish parody singer since Allan Sherman.
