JEWMONGOUS featuring Sean Altman, at the White Eagle Tavern, Portland, OR, March 2007. Sean displays his understanding of all Jewish holidays, except one. Lyrics, CDs, bookings at www.jewmongous.com
Simchas Torah (meaning "the rejoicing of the Torah") is a celebration marking the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings (read every week, on Saturday) , and the beginning of a new cycle. That's all there is to it.
No bad guys, no wars, no miracles, as a matter of fact no story at all...
This is hilarious. Since it's that time of year again it makes it even more appropriate! I remember seeing this on YouTube a while ago and meant to comment, so here's your thumbs up! Your other songs are great too. At a time when religious tensions are high, it's always good to break-up the monotony of bad news with a little humor. Thanks for sharing. Kind Regards and Happy High Holidays from Cape Cod, Mass.

I heard this song on Steve Post's "The No Show" on Saturday, 11/1/08. Hilarious! We haven't had a good Jewish parody singer since Allan Sherman.
