The Curse of Sam Katan

Shortfilm made as part of EdVideo's Hallowe'en Film Challenge.

Rules of the Challenge: Must be shot in a weekend using a theme and clues given. Should be a "B-Movie" genre film based in HORROR/THRILLER, Sci-Fi or Fantasy. 8 min. max.

THEME GIVEN: Sam Katan: is a manipulative meddler, a sexy bully, a treachery peddler. A louse, a creep, a lecherous leech. Somethin' just ain't right about that Sam Katan.

Sam Katan has the ability to appear in any number of forms, in any place, and at any time. Sam will make an appearance in your film as a character that is somehoe integral to your story. How much screen time Sam gets is up to you. Sam can be male, female or both, or even non-human. One thing must happen: Sam must alter the course of your story in a major way.

Sam Katan's first appearance in your film must be introduced in an obvious way so that is recognizable to the audience. You could have a title appear below their image, or have other characters state their full name.

SCORE POINTS by achieving as many "bests" as you can. Interpret these as you will.
- Best Character: Hero
- Best Character: Villain/Monster
- Best Character: Skeptic who refuses to believe what is happening, despite all the evidence
- Best Character: The Expert who arrives late in the film and explains all to the hero.
