The media only reports internationals when it's big enough.
Unless you feel of course that American news, ie., should take a bigger step due to the fact that they're situated in the most influential nation in the world. :P
But the media is a little too rapid fire for my taste. I mean, they honestly feel as if they have to have news everyday. Every network feels this, so whenever there's literally very little to report on, they write additional articles on the weather or whatever else.
