  • I use 24" flourescent fixture with 2 - T5 HO 10,000 bulbs for lighting. And my substrate i cant see anymore but it is a mixture of sand and volcanic gravel. this video is after about 3 months growth. Thanks for the compliment too !

  • Hey there. The best way to make moss into a carpet is to use something to holod it in place. Eventually the moss will attach itself. I tie moss to rocks and driftwood with dark color sewing thread. I also lay moss ontop of the sand of gravel and then set rocks or sand ontop to hold it down. Once you have it where you want it trim the moss to keep it in shape. If you cut off the new growth or the tips of the moss it allows it grow bushy and full instead of long and stringy. Thanks for asking.
