Rig: Gibson LP Deluxe (P-90s by Merlin Pickups) + Sunn Model T + two Marshall 1960s.
One (stock 90's JCM900 series cab) equipped with Celestion G12T-75 speakers, second one (late 70's cab) with 1978/79 Celestion G12M Blackbacks - basically not any different from Greenbacks except the plastic covers' color.
I have a 4x12 cab with two 1977 55hz black backs. I need to fill the other two slots. G12T-75's maybe? anyone? anyone? Beuller?

i have a 78 B cab with blackbacks and their fantastic, i can hear what you mean by the 75's being brighter in this video, but in a video its all down to how you have the cabs mic'd up, are you using the mic on your computer or a maybe a mic positioned in a certain part of the room. Also your guitar is tuned waayy down, i play blues in standard and my tone is awesome with my cab, clear as day, and ive used 75's with a Mesa dual Rec. My rig is TSL 100H / 78 Marshall B

I let someone try out my Full Marshall stack...Top is a 1960 cab loaded with G12-75T and the bottom is loaded with celestion Rockets 16ohm...I have a Soldano hot RoD 50 plus head...
He tried it out and thought it was too bassy? He never played through a Soldano before and was using a 5150 three head which we were going to trade but he backed out of the trade...
I goofed on him when he was trying to get an extream clean out of my Soldano head keeping the volume at 1. It don't do clean!

The 75s are really underrated. They sound great here. More aggressive low end and more presence. I liked the minor-key, eclectic stuff you were playing as well; it shows more imagination than most of the stuff I usually hear on gear demos.

both kick ass, but in different ways - I dig the more-mids sound of the Black(green)backs myself.

The 75s definitely sound smoother and better balanced, but the m30s might do better in a full-band situation with a thunderous bass guitar accompaniment and drums and a second guitarist, although the great thing about t75s is that they can be present and sound full, without cluttering up the vocal end of the midrange, so you can crank the rhythm guitar up nice and loud without drowning out the vocals. Both beat V-30s, at least for rhythm guitar with medium to high gain. Thanks for posting.
