Democratic Rules & Bylaws Committee member Harold Ickes gets coffee, walks around talking to people, and stares off into the distance while former Michigan Governor Blanchard presents his case for settling the disputed seating of the state's delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

Yes, commenters are correct, it is Gov. Blanchard. When I was searching the net for a list of the people who presented for MI, I did not find any mention of Blanchard in the first 10 stories I checked out, and only found Brewer mentioned once. That is my mistake and I will post a corrected version of the video. Note I don't think this makes Ickes' behaviour any less disrespectful of the proceedings.

None of you bothered to pay attention to the fact that this is not Mark Brewer who has a husky and raspy voice, but Gov. Blanchard a Clinton supporter. and yes! Harold Ickes knew what he was going to say, he is on his side. Such jerks Obama supporters are.

you're right about the speaker--I have posted a new version of the video with a corrected title.

this was a formal meeting of the committee. the members were supposed to be seated around the table, out of courtesy to the speakers. occasionally, they would send an aide to get them a glass of water or something, but over the entire 6+ hours the meeting was in session, none of the other members got out of their seat for more than a couple seconds. Ickes was doing this half of the day

I strongly disagree with mshgraham...this rules and bylaws meeting was a farce. I think we're so far along now that we can all take am oment and admit that those delegates should never have been awarded to Obama. Plain and simple.
