For those non-Swedish viewers out there: this man hasn't ever taken any song classes! This is his natural voice!! Better than the best!!

Hade Svenska nationalsången låtit som detta så hade vi haft en som var bra. Manliga tårar! Fy fan vad bra detta är!

The song was written by Bjorn and Benny while still in Abba, but they felt it didn't really fit into the Abba concept. When they then wrote the Musucal Chess, they changed the arrangent specifically with Tommy Korberg in mind... so in reality; the song (as it stadns now) was written specifically for Tommy.

Tommy Korberg is the only Anatoly. Don't even argue. I don't care how many other Anatolys you've seen, just forget them. No matter how good they are, they are not Tommy Korberg. Except if that Anatoly happens to be played by Tommy Korberg. THEN that Anatoly is Tommy Korberg.

I second that

This song is written to Tommy, thanks to Tim, Benny and Björn.

@havfruen72 Thank you very much for your kind reply. The song is so beautiful that I had to know more. Have a nice day :)

@Domnoidragon As a Norwegian I think of Ulf Lundell and Öppna Landskap when I think of Sweden.
-
@rutsableich It is from Chess, a musical written by the two guys from ABBA in participation with an English author

Our unofficial national anthem some say :P
In any language, this song gives me the shivers!. ANd this rendition with the simple piano accompaniment and the choir, wow! It really lets Tommy shine. I saw Tommy perform this in 1986 in the London Production. It was my first ever professional theater experience and it was amazing. While others are certainly free to give it there best shot, Tommy Korberg will always own Anatoly Sergievsky in the same way that Colm Wilkinson will always own Jean ValJean or Michael Crawford the Phantom,
