Dublin Bus Burning Rubber in the Snow

Dublin's roads were iced up today after heavy snow fell on roads just before rush hour.

The last 39a bus out of town before Dublin Bus suspended services got stuck on Manor Street.

It couldn't get enough traction to get up the slight incline, and had to be abandoned.

Fair play to the driver who spent about 30 minutes trying to get us up that hill.

Hiking in the Wicklow mountains.  It's free and fun and accessible by public transport. I suggest you bring sandwiches and water and a raincoat. Wear boots if you have 'em! Can't recommend the Spink walk in Glendalough enough. Get the Matthews bus from Stephen's Green, fare's a tenner return I think.
