Roy Wood Live - 12/22/07 - Blackberry Way

The fabulous and legendary Roy Wood in concert on December 22, 2007, at the historic Birmingham Town Hall, part of his annual Christmas spectacular! Roy was great, and his band was perfect. We traveled all the way from Los Angeles to see him, and it was worth it. (Next time, though, Roy, you come here!) This was shot by my daughter with a little digital camera, but didn't she do a great job? Roy Wood Rocks! This is the Move classic, "Blackberry Way" with a surprising instrumental introduction. I'll be uploading a few other tunes from this show, so look for them!

I'm pretty sure im the only 16 year old in England who's been brought up listening to Roy Wood, The Beatles etc haha. Because judging by the comments, most of them seem to be from middle aged men!

@potatoface13 - Yeah, the audience at that show was pretty much a geezer's convention. I've always been baffled at how segregated by age the world is. Good music is good music, and at least my own children know that. Rock on!

Oh, he really is good here. He sounds like he did in 1968. Unlike Sir Paul, who is getting a little creaky in the pipes, Roy is as good as ever, if not better. Such a great band, too. Thanks for posting this on YouTube.

Roy one of the truely Rock & Roll Greats of all time. It's a shame and so sad that he never got or gets the respect and admiration he deserves. He should be ranked up there with the biggest names out there, from Ray Davies, Brian Wilson, Pete Towhnsend, John Lennon, Bob Dylan...
