I always looked forward to seeing Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas every Christmas season. It's a heartwarming story wih a lot of cute critters in it and some very excellent songs! I hadn't thought about it until recently. Now that I know it's out there, I think I'll pick this DVD up!

argh! thank you youtube who pulled my video of the original airing featuring Kermit. I uploaded it to the- internet archive.org. the dvd featured here is the edited version. i know. i have it. it does not have kermit who hosts the story & narrates through out.
just search emmet, & go to the link. anyone can download it. it takes about 30 minutes to do so. download the mpeg4 file for best quality.

It is very true about the younger people not knowing about Jim Henson. The other day at work we talking about Emmet Otter's Jug Band Cristmas,and only myself and one other person knew the movie! Jim Henson had the greatest imagination,I wish he was still around and making movies. The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth,The Muppet Show,Fraggle Rock,The Storyteller,and everything else he did was awesome. I watch his stuff with my kids so they can experience the magic as I have all these years.

I still have the original movie on VHS!! Amesome video! I got it from my cousins schoolteacher and watched and fell in love with it! I reminds me of some of the bluegrass and jug bands, such as the cox family.
