It's so true...

the show is SO bad. I occaisionally attempt to give it another chance on a bored Sunday evening usually changing the channel less than 5 minutes due to the incessant over the top attempts at making a joke and the subsequent pity I feel. Simpsons was the best ever from season 3 to around the early 2000's. Family guy took a dive even faster, unfortunately.

@570y3n I don't agree with season 3 being the start of the "classic" Simpsons era because that means that "Bart the General", "Krusty Gets Busted" etc.. were not part of the classic era. Season three started with the Michael Jackson episode and "Lisa Goes to Washington" (Lisa declares the system works!) and these were two of the lamest episodes of the series. Classic Simpsons started with season one.

@bootheater id say simpsons took a dive to shitsville just after 2007 , those middlish episodes r the best ever , same with south park and family guy , the best eps are in the middle seasons

my thought exactly on the show..

In my opinion, the simpsons started to decline after season 13-16, then after that it just wasn't funny anymore.. The best seasons were by far 3-10, my family loved those seasons and we, to this day, still quote simpsons lines from the earlier seasons hahah
