Moms Mabley sings a beautiful rendition of the Dion classic: Abraham, Martin & John. With a legacy of hope President Obama takes office. IMPORTANT: This was created during those magic months right before the election. I felt the legacy of peoples' hopes might finally be realized with the election of Senator Obama. Peoples' issues from the '60s & '70s have been ignored since Reagan. In NO way did I intend to imply some worry or premonition of ill toward President Obama. I does kinda feel like that post-election, though. It's purely a representation of decades of pent-up hope for many people joyous at the upcoming election of Barack Obama.

I was in high school when the Civil Rights movement took place. I feel previleged to have lived among the times of these Great Americans.looking at the photos I'm surprised at how young John, Martin and Bobby were. These men were True Americans in every sense of the word. Barack Obama is the inheritor of this great struggle. God Bless America.

What JFK did do was to get in front of a podium or TV screen and start talking openly about civil rights. But even MLK was kind of frustrated with his slowness. Still, one of the the things all these men did was to present their ideas boldly. And we all looked at each other, and no matter how old or young we were we said: "Yes, we can do it"! I miss that...

Just to set the record straight, John Kennedy didn't set anybody free, he needed to be re-elected in 1964 and didn't want to piss off the southern whites so as usual Robert delicately tried to intercede....AFTER 1963 Bob Kennedy became a changed man due to the grief and pain of the death of his brother(who he devoted his career to) and began to think for himself changed his position on Civil Rights,Poverty, Vietnam and became this incredible human being....
