This song, along with another called "It's All about HIM" was recorded by Alan in 2007 for inclusion with his wife, Denise's book, which was also called "It's All About HIM", a book all about her marriage and her religion.

My wife and I had this song played by the Pat Terry Group (recording) on 6/4/77. We're grateful to still be together and this song by Alan Jackson was discovered by searching by Pat Terry after all these years. We took our youth group in 1976 to hear Pat Terry in Miami. Man, I'm gettin' old! Jesus is Lord and Saviour and God bless every marriage blessed by Him for Christ's glory!

"That's The Way" was written and originally sung by "The Pat Terry Group" in the late 70's/early 80's. Look up the Pat Terry Group and you'll find it. It's about being married in the name of Jesus ("in the shadow of the cross on bended knee"). :)
