A few days before Thanksgiving Day, Lorna and I got an invitation from Ralph and Janet to join their family for Thanksgiving lunch at their place in Parker Oaks. Lorna was supposed to be at their place much earlier to help Janet in the preparation. A day before the appointed lunch, Ralph called saying that Lorna didn't have to come early for Janet with their help can handle the preparation. Ralph had to explain that they wanted Lorna to have a rest from her work since I insisted a bit that Lorna was really planning on coming to help.

Anyway, just the same we came a bit earlier but everything was almost done, so Lorna could only help them a bit. I asked Ralph if I could do a little photography at their backyard forest to which he replied, It may still take a few minutes before the turkey gets cooked". So I went, where Ralph followed to make sure I was safe from snakes, etc. Soon, he left me to check on the turkey.

I did have fun taking photos although the sun was a little too bright for photography. It wasnt easy to take photos then because of the thorny and pointed plants, shrubs and grasses, not counting the numerous twigs that could prick my eyes. I got stung by a pointed asterisk looking plant twice, but had to go on photographing the scared squirrel because I shouted when I was stung.

Just before we ate lunch, a deer visited the garden and stayed there for quite some time for Jake, Tys dog didnt bother to bark to send him away. I will upload a video of this rare sight (for me & Lorna) in a few hours.

Anyway, herere the photos I took on that lovely Thanksgiving lunch with Ralph, Janet and the rest of the family. We can only thank God for people like them. God bless you, Ralph, Janet and family.
