  • The non-hrm seems to have more body and warmth and a smoother overdrive to my ears, both sound great but I prefer the non-Hrm models tone over the HRM. Thanks for the comparison Marin ! Great playing by the way. Mike

  • thanks mate. Check out the new clip of the HRM, the tone is fatter and smoother there.

  • What kind of delay are you running?

  • axe-fx

  • Marin, can you tell us what the main difference between the amps is as far as the internals?

    Thanks, Colly.

  • I'm not the expert on this. Perhaps you should drop a mail to Nik from Ceriatone.

  • i think the none HRM sound much better .

  • Thanks for the tone comparison, but why does everyone playing a Dumble or clone try to play like Robben or Larry? Jazz, fusion? Why? Rock that baby and make it cry for momma! How about some booge rock or screaming leads for a change!

  • Great playing! Thanks for the demo...weird tho'...I've been listening to that Johnny Guitar Watson track for the last few weeks on Youtube (I Want To Ta-Ta You Baby)..and then the first OTS demo I watch has it as a backing track...where did you get that from? Love that track..

  • Everything you record sounds the same.

  • non - hrm

  • good demo and good sound.

  • @WuTangBoneThugs Looks like a Tokai maybe?

  • I was torn....Nik....who I trust....advised the HRM....but for some reason I got the 50 watt non-HRM. Since I dont have a HRM here to compare at home side by side....I dont know what I'm missing if anything I can say this....I luv the one I have.

  • @JamesNiskyMusic Not that i'm better than Robben, didn't mean to insult him or anything, just didn't think he was very well known but its not his fault i don't know the guy. Clearly he is doing something right. He has fans and i don't so i tip my hat to him. Sorry Robben. I do like his personality, very modest and intelligent. After hearing lots of hype about him the first time i heard him i was expecting something different, thats what i meant to say.

  • @BluesRocker52 The really puzzling thing about that is Robben Ford and Larry Carlton aren't well known at all, neither had any hits ever, where the hell are all these fans coming from? I had never heard of either of them until i started reading about dumble amps, clearly the dumble amp is more famous than any of its users except Carlos Santana. I have watched Robben's live act and i don't get what the big deal is, average vocals, typical jazz explorations, 3-chord blues, weak guitar sound .

  • is that an es-335 copy you're playing? What make?

  • The none HRM is too compressed. The HRM is way more dynamic and expressive in my opinion. Guess its a matter of personal taste.
