A quick little 1st and 2nd gear launch / burnout in my turbocharged 1992 Mazda Miata. In this video it is running the stock 1.6 liter long block, Ebay turbo manifold, Ebay 50 trim T3, Ebay intercooler, 2.5" exhaust, 550cc injectors and a 1G DSM ECU for engine management.

Oh, and I know I need some real tires on this thing. That's next on the list!

  • I like!

    but idk bout eBay anything...

  • @pinoykid13 You're absolutely correct about this. Most auto stuff on Ebay is crap.

  • @turbomiragedude but for the money... and just street use, if you know wtf you're doing with oil lines, (ie, not supplying your cheap china turbo with 65psi of oil,) these ebay setups work great.... this is decent example.

  • @accordv6er Yes, this is the key- use quality surrounding parts. The cast iron manifold is good and the turbos are mostly good. Use those two Ebay items and then buy quality name-brand oil feed/return lines, etc. and you'll be fine.

  • Is this a real sunburst yellow?

  • @Ratava252 Yessir! I have the original window sticker too.

  • sweeeeeeeeeeet!

  • I have opted with putting a ground inlet cam in mine, gives way better top end without the potential to destroy the engine. Check out "Kelford cams "on Facebook ,Peter can give advise , make billet cams to order or grind a standard cam. Have a look at my channel " Crazeerooster " the vid of the MX5 driving in the rain was recorded after I put the cam in.

  • @turbomiragedude Very cool! I absolutely love the sunburst yellows. Incredibly rare too

  • @NCDropkickSquad Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it! The Ebay turbos are a proven hit or miss. I chose one because I wanted to experiment with compressor/turbine size without investing a ton of money. However, the Ebay turbos are getting more expensive, which makes a strong argument for going with the far better Garrett turbos from the start. I will be switching to one in the future.
