what a beautiful song...love it!!! thanks

what can I say? Such beauty, melody, expression, sweetness, sense of rythym, love and dedication to craft. Still possible in this day and age? Yes! Get back Hasrat Jaipuri, Shankar Jaikishan, Rafi and Lata. Easy?

Hats off to you Rafi . awesome Shammi

shammi was a great entertainer but he over did it with his diet@legacy he aged so much during 67,to 77,he would of been with us still another 20years but i guess the kapoor buzz got the best of him, meaning they were very popular family name in the industry etc,but the kapoors do have thier heads in thier asses even though thier new genaration are a bunch of twats, but much cred goes to the greats of thier time not the twats of the last 20years

wonderfull god i love this reminds of the old days

Put Rafi, SJ and Shammi K on one side of a scale and put the rest of indian cinema on the other. This trio will outweigh them all. Together, they have brought to us the best era in Indian cinema. Its a pity that we cannot buy time back. Time kills us all.....dead.

Shammi Kapoor you were the BEST !!! Rest in Peace RIP

The more i hear this kind of songs the more i hate current bollywood.
Great music yet again by Shankar Jaikishan
Exeptional lyrics by Shailendra not Hasrat Jaipuri
Mohabbat ne teri mujko kuch is tarah se ghera
Din ko hain tere charche raaton ko khwab tera
The only reason Hollywood is considered more superior in terms of music than bollywood is because we are trying to copy there western style music but making it much worse with songs like munni badnaam hui.

This is not only a song. It represents the expression of a couple in love. At the time it was made it represented the feelings of all of us who fell in love with someone but was unable to meet and express. There was no mobile phones etc. Just the song was enough. That's why it means so much to me and people of that generation.
