@ACadaline That's why I love Hayao Miyazaki movies. Studio Ghibli still makes beautiful 2D pictures. Disney paired up with them, and now there's a new production coming out soon.

The reason they do not make movies like this is because nowadays most animated films are not hand-drawn, nor are they in 2D. They are now computer generated and in 3D. Although there are some good animated 3D films, 2D hand-drawn animated films have a natural beauty too them, Bambi is also a beautiful example of this, you can feel the work and the soul of the people who made these films come to life by simply drawing. The 90's were know as the Disney Renaissance, true animation came to life.
