I don't think he forgot the words. I think he forgot the chords to play, which doesn't make the situation less funny anyway. Loved it ever since I heard it on the 'Lonesome Day' CD single!

I have watched this hundreds of times on DVD and the when he forgets the words, it fills me with such joy, it is such a beautiful moment.

Just came across this, hell given the amount of lyrics, guitar chords and piano chords, not to mention harmonica and other miscellaneous bits of music in his head I guess you are bound to forget something sometime, love the way he recovers and pushes through. If it teaches anything, especially to the younger generation, don't give up or give in, hang on in there and it for the most part works itself out. I'm amazed he found the notes, my recall nevers works that well. Awesome song and c clip.
