Actually there were 2 fatalities. And damage to the hospital itself is in the tens of millions.

actually the two fatalities occurred on the roads to the north of the hospital and winn-dixie (i believe they happened on the cornor of hudson and oglethorpe).
i have lived in americus my whole life and it still kills me today to think about what happened to the only place i call home. i am proud to say that americus is rebuilding and the people of sumter county have come together in a way that makes me proud to call it my home town
