Short film made in 72 Hours for a competition in October 2009. The festival coordinators passed out the secret criteria (similar to the 48 Hour Festivals) on Thursday night at 9PM. Things we had to include in the film were Edgar Allen Poe and a man staring at spilled toothpicks. The film was due the following Sunday at 9PM.

  • Thanks for the comments, with the exception of ishtarg8, who obviously is... well... let me put it this way: his name being Ishtar is pretty tell-tale of what he considers great cinema.

See? I did it again! Tell-Tale! Another Poe reference! Or, make that Edgar Allen to some.

  • Hi,

many people does not know that Treasure Island was inspired from The Gold bug.

  • Pretty damn good, gotta say :)

Some of the scene changes were a tad abrupt but all is good.

Truth be told, I was looking for something based upon Poe's short story, but who gives a crap. This was well done.

  • Not the best acters but i liked it, very scary :)

  • ...good job guys...

  • If there's anything that scares the living bejeepers out of me it's doors that close by themselves! I imagine you could make quite the creeper flick if you had 72 days, let alone 72 hours. Not totally sure of the ending but you did a fine job of tying everything in in the short time you had. And I was honestly impressed with the level of realism in the acting and the quality of the filming.

  • very scary....enjoyed it!

  • Yeah, whatever this is, it's not Poe.

Do Edgar Allen justice, or leave him the fuck alone and invent your own stories.
