Nice mirror image of FastTrack 1 on smooth water. Fast Track Amphibian's patent pending technology gets you up on the plane from a standing start. (Put in this video mainly to get a channel icon)

  • @fasttrackdriver Ya the red river video also shows the suspension at work ,the mud bog wasn't even an issue for that thing at all just planed over the whole thing like nothin ,great machine !

  • how much does it drinks???

  • but will it blend?

  • @fasttrackdriver Oh..., shitty! I drove an AAV in Iraq and had seen them testing them out in California. How long ago did it get cancelled?

  • @wlindenlaub That program has been cancelled

  • @skeilak General Dynamics has been working on that for the U.S. Marines for a while now. Originally called the AAAV (Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle) but now its known as the EFV (Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle.

  • @oilfield666 ya, I think they are making it seem faster by speeding the clock up a little.

I can see a lot of serious engineering challenges ahead for you. Not the least of which, is that to achieve the effect you're looking for, and to be stable, the vehicle is going to fairly wide, thus making it somewhat unwieldy on roads, which is why this would be better than a hovercraft.

Good luck to you, in any case. My brain is starting to hurt, just thinking of some of what you'll have to overcome, to create a new high-speed LVT-1.
