I think there is confusion about the "Dark Side" of witchcraft and Shadow Magick (etc..). These terms do not equal "Bad" or "Evil." This video just shares my thoughts about the topic
This is all great. I agree with you totally. YET - a thing to realize is that spirits lie. Not all,but there are some are very capable of lying and harming the living.. Cemeteries have some pretty foul energies that dwell there. I think the very tenant of 'darkness' and 'shadows' is the cloaked or 'unknown' nature of the energies being worked with. These are _very important_ thinks to keep in mind.
I think you've summed the debate up perfectly. A witch understands that s/he walks between the two worlds, the naive Wiccan (Not all Wiccans are naive, but this term is more respectful than 'fluffy bunny') doesn't & is afraid of the world of dead or 'dark side' of the craft. From this perspective, I think perhaps that Wiccans really practice folk magic more than witchcraft. It's funny, I decided to embrace the craft because of it's connection to the dead. Spirit brought me to their world! LOL
Great video! I've always been attracted to darkness, death and spirits but to use their powers in a positive way. Thank you for this. Im about to make a series of videos on "dark" witchcraft and I love how you put it, "not Wiccan"
I guess the things I've read & come believe are too stuck in my head. I'd hate to bind anyone & have it come to bite me on the ass... I hate when my husband wishes people he knows dead much less doing magic to simply steer someone in a direction they don't want. If I can't do a protection/deflection spell to remain safe from this other person, or even do a reversal spell, then I don't want to venture into the "Dark side" lol ... yes - for me - I agree = it's scary
Hecate is my patron goddess. and as soon as you said her name i realized what you were talking about! and the "dark side" is also called Necromancy. You would be a Necromancer. Working with the dead. but remember: Necromancy is NO laughing matter. If you plan on being a Necromancer, i suggest alot of studying. because its dangerous and if you dont know what your doing bad things happen
Welcome to the Shadows. I work with this side exclusively and know a ton about it. There is more to it than in books. You have to surrender and submit to a lot you may be unaware of and meet tons of and mingle with dark sided peoples of all kinds. From Satanists to plain Dark Pagans. Out of the Shadows is another great book by John Coughlin, who is Dark, but has no affiliation. This side is fun and full of power. Karma still lives here but high wisdom is shared by all.

Can you link the Hecate facebook page? I tried to find it, but there are so many pages with her name.
