Everytime i go to Gatlinburg, i try to atleast make a point to ride this chair lift just once on my trip. My favorite parts of riding it are when going up, passing the swimming pool of that hotel below, then the street, then the little river that runs through Gatlinburg. I have noticed too, on some parts of it, your sky lift chair gets amazingly close to the ground in some spots, and you pray a bear isn't near! LOL When i ride it this summer, i'm sitting indian style on the seat. :)
