@Bigbadpoppaj i think it only works for the game not for a downloaded version game
-
@mikin0123 it does not have the customize options
-
I haven't played this game yet, or gotten it, but had a quick question that hopefully someone could answer: Does the game allow you to over customize the ship? For example, if I wanted the sovereign class to have 4 nacelles, could I do that?

@ewtng hey dude i have star t legacy downloaded offline and i installed the mod and it wouldnt work so i read i should of put the patches on it so i did tht it still dont work plz help
-
@KJOSCOT It just works on a native Windows machine. I think any controller will, so long as Windows detects it and auto-installs drivers prior to game start-up. Don't know anything about Mac Parallels, myself, though.

@KMallinson Yes. Phasers are the powerhouse weapon of Star Trek ships. Especially seen in the Next Generation era. I would also like to see phasers(and torpedoes) used in different settings as well in a mod(Disintegrate, Disrupt, Proximity Blasting, Cutting, Omni-directional arc-firing, and Saturating.) I would also like to see the sensors do more like Tachyon sweeping for cloaked ships, and communication templates instead of the 'no reply to hail.' Just an idea.

@paladinstorm Really? Does it require any form of software install/setup to use the 360 controller? Will it work through a Mac Parallels program converter?
-
@KJOSCOT I know I've tried Legacy out on PC with a 360 controller. Plays worlds better with a controller over keyboard/mouse. Even the map features (plotting warp courses and such) work better with the controller, since the port job was so poor.

Is there not a way to allow this mod to be controlled with the computer-based game control systems(i.e. Logitech play station-style?) When you have five thumbs on each h and like I do, keyboarding my way through a game is not as good as using a controller. I have the Legacy game, but do not have a PC since my other one died, but that will change soon enough. I would like to know.

So I enjoy the concepts behind UU, but I'm wondering whether the new version still has strange judgements about how much damage phaser fire should do. The last time I tried this mod, phasers were useless and fights took minutes and minutes with each vessel, making it just pointing and shooting with no intrigue. How is it now?
international lesbian shit
I've read up on this game...
What about contact detection?
Bouncing off out-of-scale planets and flying through other ships is gay.
Planets should make up part of the background, with space debris, space stations and asteroids floating around the arena.
Bethesda should probably start from scratch.

@petujaymz Sound effects are brand new with audio taken directly from the Feature films & TV Series.

@petujaymz All of that we've eliminated. Its taken over 3 years of extensive work but we've taken care of those glitches. Out-of-scale planets... That is a big No No in Chris Jones gaming. All of the planets & stars have been resized for accuracy. Most of the new Planetary Textures are based off of Hubble telescope images courtesy of NASA, with some artistic licensing of course. All Starships are properly sized w/ new textures based off of studio mudels courtesy of Industrial Light & magic.

Is there an XP version? I'm considering getting this, but I still run XP not Vista or Windows 7.

Yes this will run on XP, Vista & Win 7. To run the stock game. You need a 2.66 processor or better with 3.0 GB of Ram or better.
To run the Ultimate Universe Mod with peak performance you will need a 3.0 dual core or quad core processor or better with 4 GB of RAM or better. The UUM is twice the size of the orioginal stock game release. Thats why there difference in the system hardware requirements.
BTW: we still have a good way to go before its all done !!

The multiplayer system works only on XP. We've tried to negotiate with Bethesda to get the source code to correct the issue so you can play multiplayer on Vista & Win 7 but they havent' budged yet & doesn't look like they will. They didn't code it for Vista & or Win 7. Go Figure.
The rest of the game including all single player & skirnish sumilations work okay in Vista & 7, just the game's multiplayer doesn't work on Vista & 7.
